Volleyball Rules And Fouls

Competition rules
1. The first four games are played in a 25-point system. Each team wins a game only if it wins at least 25 points and is 2 points ahead of the opponent.
2. The official game is played in a best-of-5 system. The final game is played in a 15-point system. After one team scores 8 points first, the two teams exchange courts and continue the game in the original position order until the end.
3. In the final game (the fifth game), the team that scores 15 points first and leads the opponent by 2 points wins. [5]
Fouls
Serving fouls
Serving fouls include fouls during serving and fouls after serving.
Fouls during serving:
(1) Wrong serving order;
(2) The serving player steps on the court (including the end line) or the ground outside the serving area when hitting the ball or jumping to hit the ball;
(3) The serving player fails to hit the ball within 5 seconds after the first referee blows the whistle to allow the serve;
(4) Hitting the ball before it is thrown up or the ball holder has not clearly evacuated;
(5) Hitting the ball with both hands or throwing or pushing the ball out with one hand;
(6) Tossing the ball up to serve but not hitting it.
Fouls after serving:
(1) The ball touches other players of the serving team or the entire ball does not pass through the vertical plane of the net from the net area;
(2) Out of bounds;
(3) The ball passes over the individual or group of players who are covering the serve (when serving, if one or more players stand closely together or swing their arms, jump, or move to block the receiving player, and the ball flies over him or them, it constitutes an individual or group covering the serve). Position Error
The rules of volleyball stipulate that when the server hits the ball, if the players on the court are not in their correct positions, it constitutes a position error foul. Any of the following situations is a position error foul:
(1) When the server hits the ball, the other players on the court are not completely standing in the court area;
(2) When the server hits the ball, the players on the court do not stand in accordance with the regulations that "each front row player has at least one part of his foot closer to the center line than the feet of the back row players in the same row";
(3) When the server hits the ball, the players on the court do not stand in accordance with the regulations that "each left (right) player has at least one part of his foot closer to the left (right) sideline than the feet of the middle players in the same row".
