The International Football Federation (French: Fédération Internationale de Football Association, English: International Federation of Association Football, abbreviated: FIFA), referred to as "FIFA", is a global football governing body, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, and was founded in 1904 by seven countries: Belgium, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. FIFA is in charge of all major global football events, the most important of which is the World Cup with more than 200 members. These members belong to six regional football associations, each of which has its own events.
Asian Football Confederation (Asian Football Confederation, abbreviated: AFC), referred to as "AFC", was established on May 8, 1954. Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is an Asian single-sport organization. The main institutions are: Congress, Executive Committee. The main purpose is to promote the development of Asian football; to enhance friendship among Asian football circles; to organize football matches in Asia according to the regulations and rules of the International Football Federation. The main competitions held include the "Asian Cup" football match, the Asian Youth Football Championship, the Asian Games football match, and the organization of the Asian World Cup, Olympic Games and World Youth Football Championship qualifiers. The establishment of this organization has promoted the development of football in Asia. [29]
The Chinese Football Association
(abbreviated as: CFA), referred to as "Chinese Football Association", was established in Beijing on January 3, 1955. The first chairman was Huang Zhong. It is a national, non-profit, sports-related corporate entity voluntarily formed by organizations engaged in football in the People's Republic of China; it is a social organization with a public welfare nature that unites national football organizations and individuals to jointly develop football. It manages national football affairs according to legal authorization and government entrustment; it is a unit member of the All-China Sports Federation and the Chinese Olympic Committee; it is the only member of the International Football Federation and the Asian Football Confederation representing China.
